18”, 65 Gauge Cast Hand Stretch Film Clear 1500 FT/Roll
Product Details
Brand: NFC Bags

Standard 18-inch cast hand stretch film is the industry-standard width for pallet wrapping in distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and warehouse operations. At 65 gauge and 1,500 feet per roll, this film provides a reliable balance of strength, clarity, and roll length for high-throughput wrap line applications.

Specs: 18 in. x 1,500 ft. | 65 Gauge | Cast LLDPE | Clear | 1 Roll

Applications

  • Standard pallet wrap for case-picked distribution center shipments

  • Receiving dock pallet load securing and stabilization

  • Manufacturing output pallet unitizing for outbound shipments

  • Food service and grocery retail pallet wrap operations

  • General warehouse pallet stretch wrapping for transit protection

Features

  • 18 in. width is the industry-standard for hand stretch film on standard GMA pallets

  • 65 gauge provides adequate strength for medium-to-heavy pallet loads

  • Cast film construction delivers quiet, smooth unwinding and consistent tension

  • High clarity film allows barcode scanning and product visibility through the wrap

  • Strong one-sided cling maintains film position between passes around the load

  • 1,500 ft. per roll provides extended run time between roll changes

Material Notes

Cast LLDPE (linear low-density polyethylene) stretch film is produced on a flat-die cast extrusion line, delivering consistent gauge, quiet unwinding, and better optical clarity compared to blown stretch film. Cast film is well-suited for standard pallet wrap applications where puncture resistance from extreme point loads is not the primary concern. For loads with sharp protrusions, a higher-gauge or blown film alternative offers additional puncture resistance.

Use Case Notes

The 18-inch width is the standard format for manual hand wrapping of GMA pallets. It provides 2–3 overlapping wrap layers per pass depending on application technique, covering approximately 9–12 inches of pallet height per revolution. At 65 gauge and 1,500 feet per roll, each roll wraps approximately 20–30 standard loaded pallets depending on wrap pattern and number of passes.

Common Questions

Q: What is the difference between cast and blown stretch film?
A: Cast film is produced on a flat die and unwinds quietly with higher clarity. Blown film offers higher puncture resistance and is better for loads with sharp edges. Cast film is the more common choice for standard distribution center pallet wrap applications.

Q: How many pallets does one 1,500 ft. roll wrap?
A: Approximately 20–30 standard loaded pallets depending on load height, wrap pattern, and number of wrap passes per pallet.

Q: Is 65 gauge appropriate for heavy pallet loads?
A: 65 gauge is suitable for medium-to-heavy palletized loads in distribution environments. For very heavy or oversized loads with irregular profiles, a higher-gauge film (80+ gauge) is recommended.
