Measuring for Box Liners – Gusseted

Note: Depth(D) is the shorter of the 2 sides.
- 1. Width (W) of the bag = width of the box + 1″
- 2. Depth (D) of the bag = depth of the box + 1″
- 3. Length (L) of the bag = height of the box + depth + 6″ to allow coverage of the box contents.
Example:
Box: 18″W x 12″ D x 14″ H
Bag: 19″ W x 13″ D x 33″ L
Measuring for Square Containers – Layflat

- 1. Width (W) of the bag = width + depth of container + 2″ for a looser fit.
- 2. Length (L) of the bag = height of the container + half of the depth to the height. Add 5″ for overhang
Example:
Container: 14″ W x 10″ D x 32″ H
Bag: 26″ W x 42″ L
Measuring for Pallet Covers – Gusseted

Note: Depth (D” is the shorter of the 2 sides.
- 1. Width (W) of the cover = width of the pallet + 1-2″
- 2. Depth (D) of the cover = depth of the pallet + 1-2″
- 3. Length (L) of the cover = height of the pallet + half of the depth.
Example:
Pallet: 40″W x 36″D x 50″H
Cover: 42″ W x 38″ D x 68″ L
Measuring for Round Containers – Layflat

- 1. Circumference (C) of the container = Diameter (D) x 3.14
- 2. Width (W) of the bag = Circumference divided by 2 + 1″ for looser fit.
- 3. Length (L) of the bag = container height + container diameter. Add 5″ for overhang.
Example:
Container: 12″ D x 30″ H
Bag: 20″ W x 47″ L
Measuring for a Reclosable Zip Bags

- 1. Measure Length (L) of the bag from the bottom of the bag to the base of the reclosable seal.
- 2. Measure Width (W) of the bag from side to side.
- 3. For rigid items add 1/2″ to the Width (W) fo the bag to allow the item to fit through the opening.
- 4. For thick and bulky items adjust dimensions accordingly.
- 5. Add 1/2″ to 2″ to both dimensions for a looser fit.
Example:
For a flat product 3 1/2″ W x 5 1/2″ L, the bag dimensions should measure at least 4″ W x 6″ L
Measuring for the Slider Top Bags

- 1. Measure Length (L) from the bottom of the bag to the base of the slider closure.
- 2. Measure Width (W) of the bag from side to side.
- 3. For rigid items, add 1/2″ to the Width (W) of the bag to allow the item to fit through the opening.
- 4. For thick and bulky items adjust dimensions accordingly.
- 5. Add 1/2″ to 2″ to both dimensions for a looser fit.
Example:
For a flat product 2 1/2″ W x 5 1/2″ L, the bag dimensions should measure at least 4″ W x 6″ L.
