CF33 ARMOR SHIELD VCI Foam Emitters
Product Details
Brand: NFC Bags

CF33 ARMOR SHIELD VCI Foam Emitters are corrosion-inhibiting foam pads designed for enclosed spaces where traditional poly or paper VCI packaging is not practical. Embedded with ARMOR VCI formulation, these 10" x 10" foam squares release vapor-phase corrosion inhibitors that form a molecular protective layer on ferrous and non-ferrous metal surfaces. Each case contains 10 emitter pads.

Specs: 10" x 10" | VCI-Embedded Polyethylene Foam | 10/Case | MIL-B-22019C / MIL-B-22020D Reference

Applications

Designed for deployment inside electrical enclosures, control cabinets, switch panels, and metal equipment housings where poly bags or paper wrapping are not feasible. Also used as product separation inserts in crates and bins storing machined components, tooling, and precision hardware.

Features

  • ARMOR VCI formulation — vapor-phase corrosion inhibition for ferrous and non-ferrous metals

  • Foam construction — provides cushioning and product separation in addition to corrosion protection

  • 10" x 10" squares — sized for standard electrical cabinet deployment or cut to fit custom enclosures

  • 3-year shelf life when stored below 120°F, away from direct sunlight

  • MIL-spec VCI performance reference — ASTM-tested inhibition efficacy

Material Notes

The CF33 ARMOR SHIELD emitter is constructed from polyethylene foam embedded with VCI compounds. Unlike foil or poly VCI bags, the foam substrate acts simultaneously as a mechanical cushion and a VCI emitter, making it suitable for applications where parts must be physically separated during storage or transit.

Use Case Notes

Electrical cabinet installers and OEM equipment manufacturers use these emitters to prevent internal rust on relay terminals, bus bars, and metal frames in environments with high humidity or temperature variation. The 10" x 10" pad can be placed flat along the cabinet floor or folded into corners. Industrial kitting operations use them as interleaving layers between stacked steel stampings, castings, or precision parts.

Common Questions

Q: What metals are protected by ARMOR VCI foam emitters?
A: The ARMOR VCI formulation protects ferrous metals (steel, iron) and most non-ferrous metals including copper, brass, and aluminum. Verify compatibility for specific alloy applications.

Q: How long does the corrosion protection last?
A: Shelf life is approximately 3 years when stored properly (below 120°F, away from direct sunlight). In deployed applications, protection duration depends on enclosure seal quality and ambient conditions.

Q: Why use foam emitters instead of VCI bags or paper?
A: In enclosed assemblies like electrical cabinets, there is no practical way to bag or wrap the internal components. Foam emitters can be placed directly inside the enclosure to release VCI vapor into the protected space without interfering with components.

Why Buy

The CF33 ARMOR SHIELD VCI Foam Emitter offers dual functionality — mechanical cushioning and active corrosion inhibition — in a single 10" x 10" pad. At 10 pads per case, it is an efficient stocking unit for maintenance departments, OEM assembly lines, and export packagers who need reliable internal corrosion protection for electrical and precision mechanical assemblies.
