10″ × 16″ TUF-R® Standard LLDPE Flat Bag — Extended Depth for Wide Products
The LK® 7F1016 is a 10″ × 16″ TUF-R® Standard LLDPE flat bag made from 1.0 mil linear low-density polyethylene. The 16″ depth extends the 10″-wide format to cover products that need slightly more vertical clearance than the 15″ format provides — giving a clean, closeable bag for tall wide items across food service, retail, and industrial packaging applications.
TUF-R® 1.0 Mil LLDPE Film Performance at 10-Inch Width and 16-Inch Depth
TUF-R® Standard 1.0 mil LLDPE maintains its dart impact resistance, puncture strength, and seal integrity across the full 16″ bag length at the 10″ width. The film’s consistent gauge distribution prevents weak spots at the edges — a common failure mode in wider commodity bags — and the heat-sealed bottom holds firm under the load of a fully packed bag.
FDA-Compliant for Tall Wide Food Items Including Bottled Products and Large Baked Goods
LK® 7F1016 bags comply with FDA and USDA requirements for direct food contact. The 10″ × 16″ format accommodates tall specialty loaves, wide food trays, large produce items, and bottled or jarred food products where both the 10″ opening and 16″ depth are required simultaneously.
Why the 10″ × 16″ Format Is the Minimum Standard Bag for Tall Specialty Jars, Full-Size File Folders, and Wide Products Just Beyond 15-Inch Depth
Tall specialty food jars — extra-large pasta sauces, large pickled items, oversized condiment containers — run 14″–16″ in height, and a 10″ × 16″ bag is the first format that contains them with seal room above the lid. Standard file folder size (8.5″ × 11″ plus the folder tab and margin) fits a 10″ × 15″ bag but without room to seal cleanly — the 10″ × 16″ provides the extra clearance. Wide personal care gift sets, shoeboxes, and retail kits that measure 14″–16″ tall with 10″ footprints all fall in this same band. The 7F1016 fills the specific gap between the 15″ and 18″ formats.
