The LK® 7F0415 is a 4-inch by 15-inch flat bag made from TUF-R® Standard LLDPE film at 1.0 mil thickness. The 15-inch length serves items in the 12–14 inch range — the upper boundary of standard elongated food and specialty product packaging — with proper sealing clearance above. FDA-compliant material supports direct food contact. Sold 1,000 bags per case.

What Requires a 4″ × 15″ Flat Bag?

Applications include full-length French baguettes, asparagus bundles, long leeks, whole green onions, floral stems, churros, long pretzel rods, full-length rulers, large paintbrush sets, curtain rod sections, long-handled tools, and extended craft materials. Items in this length range exceed the capacity of 4 × 12 bags and require the additional depth to package cleanly without folding or compression.

At 15 inches, a filled flat bag carries considerable weight distributed along the bag length. TUF-R® Standard LLDPE at 1.0 mil has the dart impact strength and elongation properties to handle this load distribution without film failure at stress points. Extended-length LDPE bags at comparable thickness are more prone to bottom-seam failure when items press down during stacking; LLDPE resists this mode of failure more reliably.

A standard baguette section runs 12–14 inches. A single asparagus stalk or leek can reach 13 inches. A 15-inch bag provides 1–2 inches of consistent headspace above these items for heat sealing without compression. Moving to shorter 4 × 12 bags for these items forces either item compression or partial exposure — neither acceptable for retail presentation. The 7F0415 is the minimum-adequate bag for full-length single-stem produce and standard baked goods without trimming.
